All river ice observers reported that the Lower Platte River and tributaries were free of ice. This will be the last river ice report this year unless conditions change sufficiently to justify resuming the program.

A big debt of gratitude is due those dedicated observers who took the time to check rivers and file reports. This coordinated preparedness activity has been conducted each year for the past six years. We continue to see steady improvement in the quality of the information reported. Once again, thanks to all for a job well done.
